Assistance with Travel / Transport Arrangements

Diligent Care is an accredited NDIS and My Aged Care provider, offering a vital link between you and your local community.

We will support you to access medical and specialist appointments, go shopping, attend social groups and maintain a valuable connection with your community.

This is especially so for our clients whose disability makes it difficult to access transport. We can provide funding for clients to access taxis, rideshares, community vehicles, and other appropriate transport methods.

Depending on the support level, a support worker can accompany our clients with their travel needs through public transport or their own vehicle. Clients can also choose to develop skills in using public transport independently.

If you need help with getting around, either for social engagements or for important medical appointments, Diligent Care Services can help get you there.

Our transport services allow you to maintain your independence by supporting you to access programs, services and activities in your local community. You tell us where you want to go, and our modern fleet of cars and buses will transport you to and from.

This could include:

  • Your place of work.
  • School, TAFE or other educational facilities.
  • Medical appointments.
  • Social outings.
  • Shopping.
  • Visits with family and friends.
  • Programs and community events.

This service is partially funded by the Department of Social Services and, where available, the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Subsidised travel is available to you if you are over the age of 65, or over the age of 50 if you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and have been assessed through the My Aged Care system or if you are an NDIS Participant
